Rowsmith

Bank statements, turned into rows. Checked to the penny.

Rowsmith reads a statement PDF on this device, turns it into a spreadsheet or a file for QuickBooks or Xero, and adds up every row against the statement’s own balances before you export.

Or drop statement PDFs anywhere on this page.

: choose all of one account’s PDFs together, and Rowsmith checks that each month carries over to the next.

: choose a year pack’s .zip with its statement PDFs, and Rowsmith checks they’re the same files, byte for byte, and checks the year again.

Reads
Statement PDFs from online banking, for current, savings and credit card accounts, password-protected ones included.
Writes
CSV for Excel, Google Sheets, QuickBooks Online and Xero. OFX for Moneydance, Wave and Xero. QBO for QuickBooks Desktop.
Checks
The opening balance plus every row against the closing balance, and each running balance on the way.
Keeps
No statements: they’re gone when you close the tab. Its security policy stops the page’s code from sending data (no fetch, XHR, web sockets or beacons), so it works the same in airplane mode.
Costs
Free during the beta: convert, check and export. If a statement reads wrong, “Save a masked copy” on it saves its layout, with the names and figures replaced, to send us.
